My siblings, Nancy, Ernie and Randy, and I are the great, great, great grandchildren of Edward Hodgson,

who was the Superintendent of the Lighthouse Station on Sable during the early 1800’s.

Our father Harry M. Hodgson descended from Edward’s son, John George Hodgson.

Our mother Helen, using Archival information, letters from Edward himself and family stories,

wrote this historical fiction book called

“A Saga of Sable Island”.

It is the story of Edward Hodgson and his life on the Island.

We hope you enjoy the read.
